Beelah Bleakely RN

 

Beelah Bleakley RN 

Beelah is the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Information Officer at ACT Health Directorate in Canberra and has extensive clinical and leadership knowledge and skills which have been developed over her 25-year nursing career. She trained in restorative practice in 2013 and has applied the approach to manage teams and respond to patient and staff safety issues over the past decade. 

 

Beelah is studying for an Masters at the Australian Institute of Healthcare Innovation (AIHI) focussed on understanding the impact digital transformation has on relationships and care delivery in health. She is an active member of the International Collaborative for Restorative Initiatives and the Canberra Restorative Community.

 

Beelah is particularly interested in the human impact of harm in healthcare for all parties involved. She curious to understand the resulting impact on patient and staff safety when restorative principles are applied to conflict resolution processes utilised by organisations and the resulting influence restorative process has on patient and staff safety as well as organisational culture
